Purpose of the Event

To benefit and support the Brazos valley Food Bank through bringing together the community for a soup

competition, live music, and fall-themed games

Reflection and Takeaway

Although this event was pretty successful, I felt like I wasn't given enough things to do because there were a lot of volunteers already and there was not really a figure of authority delegating responsibility to the volunteers. Because of this experience I learned that as an event planner, they need to be the ones to firmly delegate responsibility and keep everything control. For the most part, the event went very well. The setting up part I feel like was sort of chaotic because some people didn't know what to do. I also learned that not everyone will enjoy the event and that's okay. There's always room for improvement with feedback from evaluations sent out.
